Watching A Bugs Life with kiddo for the first time
- they don’t have 6 legs and that’s “throwing her off”
- they have a pet aphid because they need its butt juice
Ants and aphids have a symbiotic relationship where ants "farm" aphids, protecting them from predators and moving them to new food sources in exchange for honeydew, a sweet liquid the aphids secrete. Ants stroke aphids with their antennae to encourage them to release honeydew, which they then consume as a food source.

My friend gave my daughter this book. I cannot express how much this book means to me. I’ve never heard of it before, but reading it gave me chills and tears.

Receiving this was a moment that made me feel seen and loved.

I built this cabinet a while back. I’ve started painting it and I absolutely love it so far!!! The middle rows are “setup”, while the ones on the bottom and top are essentially storage right now.

I’m enjoying taking my time to create a space that feels like home 🥰
A full wall cabinet where the bottom boxes are painted dark green and the lines are painted dark brown. The bottom boxes have some storage. The next ones up have books. The next on up has pictures and records, the next one is Lego and dog equipment (balls, throwers). The top boxes are not painted yet.
