Oh yeah, one of my favorites I know about is the SS Spartan and the SS Badger in lake Michigan, only the Badger is still around and is the last coal powered passenger ferry, but both used to be train ferries, insane engineering for the time those were made.

She got a mean horn on her, lol

Oh, I also really like the Alaskan Marine Highway System Ferries. (AMHS for short), they're one of the few passenger ferries that have car elevators in them, and you can take them on multi-day voyages. Every ship in the AMHS is unique as well!

The Jumbo MkII class Washington State Ferries, they're the largest double ended ferries in North America, second largest in the world behind a British P&O ferry, but I like them due to taking them while visiting family in Washington growing up, I was so fascinated with them as a kid

They're way too expensive mantinence wise compared to just basic boat ferries, plus they were insanely loud which made the ride somewhat uncomfortable for passengers, but definitely an engineering marvel, watching them load and unload cars is really cool to watch!

Literally any Ferry along the south Mississippi, some have insane ass stories from bootlegging moonshine to being entire mafia ships, slave trade, etc.

Probably the S Class ships, specifically the M/V Spirit Of British Columbia, they're the largest ferries in the entirety of Canada, and I have childhood memories of taking round trips from Tsawwassen and just walking the giant ships while listening to the waves beat like a drum on the hull

The Washington State Ferries, I have family around Puget Sound in Washington and would take the ships across the water growing up. I have a specific memory of the captain of the M/V Tacoma letting me blow the horn while taking a tour of one of the bridges as a special birthday thing

Here's a video I took from the Walla Walla, a Jumbo class seeing one of the three MkII Classes, the M/V Wenatchee in dry dock while I was visiting Seattle

I literally take road trips to Seattle just to take these ferries, lol

Max speed of 18 knots, 16,000 horsepower in 4 diesel-electric (AC) engines, and a max capacity of 202 cars with a 1,791 passenger limit. Absolute beast of a vessel and personally the most beautifully utilitarian ferry class out there.

The M/V Tacoma, a Jumbo MkII class Washington State Ferry. I have very fond childhood memories of the boat and meeting the captain back in the 2000s

It's the largest class of double ended ferries in North America, with three total in the class, built in the 90s and over 460ft long and 90ft wide

Looks to have a capacity of around 48-50 cars max, and would have engines around 5-6,000 horsepower, with I'd assume around 1,500 long tons of weight. But this is all just me guessing based off the car capacity.

Not a whole lot of technical information on them because it's a very small local service unlike the WSF that's an extension of the highway system, but from the looks of it they're diesel powered double ended designs that would have a max speed of about 10-12 knots given the size.

Been about 12 ships in the 90 years that the route has been in operation, about 7 are around today, (6 in operation at any given time), with the oldest one being the "M/V Gibb Gilchrist" built in 1977. They're double ended ferry designs that are all each painted to be local Texas University colors!
