Just beat the Cogwork Dancers and god that might be one of my favorite boss fight ever, the only problem is that It was probs a bit on the easier side?

On the other side the second beastfly fight is just trash lol

Ok another review nobody asked for of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

So overall I really enjoyed the game despite the sneaky traps/enemy placement and bullshit healing windows lol

I played almost exclusively with the longsword because I like to parry and used little magic, mostly just for defense/buff

Sooo after taking the @sovga.bsky.social I finally uploaded my #UnrealEngine5 audio reel! You will find cool stuff like a tiny bot singing, platforms that get in tune with the bassline and a lot of objects in sync to the music :D

Probably the only real perk of being a musician is that I can get away from most events I don’t want to attend with a: damn man I’m sorry I have a recording session that day :/

Same for those people who loves sending 5min voice notes: Hey can’t listen cause I’m recording, can you send it as text?

I created a bp interface that passes chord change info from the music metadata. The platforms also switch from a random pitch to play the bassline during the night 😌

So a lot of what us audio people do is not only to play sounds to what the player sees in game but also to the *spooky voice on* UNSEEN.

Here "there are no birds" but I'm firing up a bird-cry and bird-flap sfx when the bot collides with the tree, simulating birds flying away #Indiedev #sounddesign

Just prototyped a thing in #Unreal. For every particle I'm spawning a metasound that plays a single note in an array. Nothing new there but the cool part is that the array is selected based on the chord of the moment and that way it "plays" the changes. #VGM #indiedev

Probably the best music prod/compo habit I got in most recent years is to mute stuff. Even if it is a cool instrument part. If it gets in the way of something more important then ya gone!
