Honestly the same is true for dragonfruit. I'm guessing it's lower on your list because you had an unripe one at some point, and they're extremely bland then too. I've only ever had properly ripe dragonfruit a couple of times, and it was to die for.

If you manage to find starfruit, don't make the mistake I did the first time I tried them. Wait until they're fully yellow-orange before eating. They will ripen on the counter, so if they're still a little green when you get them, it's okay. When ripe, they're DIVINE. When not, they're bland.

I think it's just a general trend in people's behavior. My favorite burrito place here seems to be about 90% take-out, except for certain times of day. If I'm in there in midafternoon or later evening, I'll see 5-6 doordash orders go out, but I'll be the only one sitting inside and eating.

And even those of us who weren't doing anything were going to get the brunt of it. Getting up in the morning KNOWING you were walking into that, and not being able to do a damn thing about it, was just...

And just... not having it constantly be chaos, I guess? In my school, I knew that every single day, we'd have at least two or three episodes where someone would rile up the teacher enough that they'd start screaming at the top of their lungs...

It's still amazing to me that there are some people who actually enjoy going to school. So different from anything I experienced!
