Another way to say it is that the NBA owners in 2023 were getting ~50% profit after expenses but in WNBA ~0%. (Actually negative on average)
So you could say the WNBA players WERE making 50% of the profit. (Of $0)

I love the WNBA! But there is a # comprehension problem here.
2023 NBA revenue per team (but not to players) was $190M. WNBA was $15M. It costs about $15M to run a team. Owner makes $0 on avg in WNBA & $175M per NBA team. It isn’t an “equity” problem. Til the last 2 years, there wasn’t $ to give.
