Also my opinion of the EU is probably lower now than pre-Brexit considering some of the actions it has taken. (i.e. covid vaccines)

And tbh I assume the whole thing would flip pretty quickly back to anti-EU probably harder than previously as various carveouts would no longerexist. (Assuming the EU even lets us join). I'm just not sure the UK can really get on in the EU.

i remember a story about a london hospital where i think they basically ran over a weekend a single type of operation but they dedicated a whole bunch of space for prep and recovery and achieve a really high through rate of operations.

I once was on a presentation by Japanese local government on social
Housing and someone asked the question about mixed use vs like dedicated retirement flat blocks and they where just very confused by the question because the idea of anything but mixed occupancy had never been contemplated
