Hmmm... the bands seem a bit "meh" this afternoon. Made a few contacts on FT8, but have now given up as there were just too many dupe calls, some only worked last month 🤔

Well, what a shock! Just won some money on my Premium Bonds.

Hmmm... the bands aren't up to much this morning. Tried a but of 40m FT8, and it was hard going. Did manage TI5RTZ and one NA station, plus a few G's.
Yesterday on 40m was much better, with quite a few JA's.

Just been down to the coast to watch the Christmas tractor run...
Around 90 illuminated and decorated tractors, some with trailers, plus an ambulance and fire engine all done up too.
Lovely clear evening, but a tad chilly.

Great opening to west coast USA this afternoon on 15m FT8, with some very strong signals.
CA, NV, UT, ID etc.
Also made a few Q's on 10 & 12m to NA, but conditions weren't great.

Just seen an RSGB post over on X saying that Bob G3PJT has gone SK.
That is very sad news. Bob was a great asset to the hobby.

Had a play in the FT Challenge contest today. I did manage GM5G, so that was pleasing, but there were loads of folk sending the wrong report - ie, not SNR & Grid, but using the contest exchange, which is wrong.

Not an easy one, as i couldn't see callers, so wasn't sure where to transmit, but I did get through in the end

A short session on 10m FT8 this afternoon was good into west coast USA. Good strong signals both ways into NV, CA, WA, ND, CO etc, but east coast stations were only just workable.

Ooh, that's been a chilly day. Temp hovered around 7C all day, which in itself isn't that bad, but add a Force 7 northerly breeze, it has felt much colder 🥶

Notwithstanding the high Kp index this morning, 10 and 12m were buzzing. Some good DX around too.... 9L, TL, 5V and more.

Hmmm... a US station called me on 10m FT8, but i worked him last month, so i sent QSO B4.
He sent NOT IN LOG.
OK, I look at my log, and it's confirmed on #LoTW.
Sent B4 again. He then sends me an email saying I'm not in his log. I reply that it's already confirmed.
"Oh, SRI, wrong band" he says
