Working out your game strategy involves a process of deciphering the logic of the game, of understanding the intent of the game’s designer, of achieving a "meeting of the minds" with the program. doin some unguided research. i love love the anthropologically phrased description of "being online" from the early 00s (text from Rene T. A. Lysloff's "Musical Community on the Internet:
An On-line Ethnography", 2003)
Even though my Internet fieldwork seemed, in the realm of embodied sensation, a rather solitary experience, it was still no less intensely social. Although I conducted my research without ever leaving my home, my work involved immersing myself in a new musical community, but with informants I would never actually meet face-to-face, people whose presence I could only infer from their textual messages. I wondered whether what I was doing really was fieldwork because I never had to go anywhere physically, never had to make demands on my body or endure the tangible hazards that field researchers routinely face. Instead, fieldwork meant spending many late nights in front of my computer, "traveling" the far corners of cyberspace.

i just changed the thumbnail to pepe silvia + pictures of my video script. (+ AB testing) i think that's going to set a better expectation for viewers going in.
and i think it's genuinely funny how weird my video scripts look (see below). i'll just redact text instead of hitting backspace lol

in two days, youtube is going to activate it's ai-based age detection thing. supposedly, this affects about 2% of my audience. i worry that it'll be worse than that.
with kosa and everything described at yellat.money, it's not even the biggest fish at the moment.

ive been watching the wild compo stream and only checking each entry's placement later. this one, Primer by Bus Error Collective was early in the compo but it had my jaw on the floor.
doubly so when I converted the FLAC to an MP3 and it was still legible on my vectorscope. look!!!
