TOS Kirk studies. Feat. my first try at drawing an older Kirk. #StarTrek

Musician life and whatnot. My bass is ''hidden'' behind the nylon string guitar case, on the left.

Picturing the whole ordeal is a hoot in itself. For context: the shooting of TMP had been talking long months, rendering the minds of each cast and crew member barely functional due to the amount of accumulated fatigue. The slightest thing could easily turn into uncontrollable laughter. #StarTrek

The script girl is literally lying on the floor, having fallen from her chair, and above us the lighting crew is rattling their catwalks underneath their uncontrolled foot stomping. De Kelley speaks next, saying, "Let's just hope those things don't hit this ship!" It marked perhaps the only time in my life when I can recall laughing so hysterically that I couldn't breathe. And now it's Leonard's turn. Standing tall at his post, still trying to retain some semblance of decorum, some shred of dignity, he's got his eyes squeezed tight, his hands visibly trembling, and he's shaking his head from side to side, silently refusing to speak. "C'mon, Leonard, don't get all blocked up now,'' I ad-lib as we all just keep on rolling. ''I would... hmmmmmmmm prefer to remain, ohhhhhhh, silent,'' says our rapidly cracking Vulcan. The '94 cover design of William Shatner and Chris Kreski's"Star Trek Movie Memories", pocket format. The picture shows Captain Kirk from one of the TOS movies, in his red uniform (known on screen since WoK), looking up. Picture showing most of page 28. It reads: "[...] seemed to enjoy watching repeats of our repeats, studying every episode to the point where they not only knew each storyline, but most of the dialogue as well. "Star Trek" parties began springing up on college campuses, where whole groups of Trek-nuts got together to watch the show and celebrate their fascination with the series. Trek fans, it seemed, weren't just enthusiastic, they were fanatical. This would be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt when a strange and heretofore unheard of entity began springing ionaround the country—the "Star Trek" convention. Partly the result and partly the cause of "Star Trek"'s continued vitality, these mass celebrations began sprouting like dandelions, attracting thousands of fans into musty convention halls and economy hotel meeting rooms all over the country. There they'd mingle amid their fellow addicts, screening old episodes en masse, buying up whatever "Star Trek" merchandise they could lay their hands on, and sometimes, when they were really lucky, mingling with members of "Star Trek"'s original cast and crew. By early 1972, Gene Roddenberry himself was addressing the pointy-plastic-eared crowd, [...]"

TOS Spock head study with basic 'terprise background from an episode which title I cannot seem to remember. He is looking a bit concerned on the original shot, but perhaps a tad irritated on my take. Basic shadowing. Can I confess something? I don't draw Spock nearly enough. B&W TOS Kirk studies, both in the Slutty Wraparound™. 1 - The one on the left shows part of his profile from the clavicle to the lower thigh portion, turned to the right. From 'The Trouble with Tribbles' episode. Bit of ass showing. 2 - The second study is from the 'The Way to Eden' episode, showing Kirk smelling a flower-like thing. Rough line work.

Progress is slow to come, but does nonetheless. #StarTrek (It seems that the challenge of drawing anything Shatner comes with an obligatory measure of masochism.)
WIP - B&W traditional sketch from the TOS episode 2x13 "Obsession''. The left side of Kirk's face is visible, the lower part partially hidden by his communicator, which he has in hand as per the one which can be seen holding it. Some shading has been done, but lots more is left to do. Drawing Shatner's Kirk will be the death of me.

Full disclosure: this one, I took for Sarek alone. My weakness for Vulcans knows no bounds. 'Star Trek VI' information visible on the page, with a couple Klingon characters, one of which distantly reminds me of Worf. Right page of the 25th Anniversary part of the booklet, showing twelve characters (Jean Luc Picard, William T. Riker, Data, Lt. Tasha Yar, Worf, Geordi LaForge, Counselor Troy, Dr. Beverly Crusher, future ensign Wesley Crusher, Empress Sela (also played by Denise Crosby), S'Chn T'Gai Spock, and S'Chn T'Gai Sarek. Two pictures are visible below, the left one showing the'main cast of TNG in its infancy, and the right one Stewart and Nimoy, all dressed up, on set. A Data can also be discerned in the background.

Part IV (last one).
Printed onto the Voyage Home book-like set. Can be seen: Klingon Bird-of-Prey blueprints, white ink on black paper. Front, rear, and side views. More information in a paragraph visible on the lower hand side. Top and bottom views of the previously described vessel. The bird shape of this model couldn't be clearer. Cover of the Voyage Home set, the left half of which is colored in gold and the next one left white. The late Leonard Nimoy's signature can be seen on the gold side. The centerpiece is the best known poster for TVH. Close-up of the 25th anniversary laserdisc, still in its protective see-through plastic cover. The Japanese 'Star Trek' logo is visible, along with the '25th Anniversary' transcript in katakana right below it.

I opened up a few things and uncovered more for you to see. Part III. The pictures below come from the TMP set.
Inside the TMP laserdisc set. The picture shows blueprints if the refitted Enterprise, as front, rear, and left side blueprints (white ink on black paper). Further data is printed below, in a paragraph about the ship on the lower left side, and some specifications right next to it, such as the vessel's length (304.8 m), her total height (71.3 m), her full width (141.7 m), her available weapons, such as phasers and photon torpedoes, etc. Top and bottom views (blueprints) of the previously described vessel. Close-up of the Enterprise's specs. Translated specs read as follows: Total length - 304.8m Total height - 71.3m Total width - 141.7m Weapons - Phaser guns (18 in total) / photon torpedoes (20 in total, 2 launch tubes) Speed - Warp 8 cruising speed / Warp 12 max speed Capacity - 72 officers, 428 crew, total of 500 persons.

Found this at a nearby vintage store. Only Trek-related piece they had in their spacious warehouse. Released in 1991, Japanese export. Will post further pictures later today. #StarTrek
