I had the slightly confusing thing of being invited to make two different flu jab appointments via text. One was from the NHS, the other from my GP surgery. Happened last year two.

I think I managed to hate it before I saw it, because a "friend" would never shut up about how amazing it was. So I was ready to dislike before I saw it. Still, managed to dislike it on its own merits.

Our heating is oil fired, but the boiler needs electricity to work. We've only ever had one multi-day power cut here. But it was quite a sobering experience.
