The only way we've gotten our cats to successfully eat a pill is to crush it and mix it into wet food. If it's solid, it just gets spat out on the floor

I'm quite a fan of the "cryo-freeze your darlings" route personally. Lacks the permanence of killing them, and the commitment of nurturing them.

I did try the sweater idea with our elderly arthritic cat ( who has much thinner fur than flower). I don't know, maybe my family keeps the house warmer, but she had very little desire to wear the sweater

Three out of four demand variety, they hate having the same food three days in a row. Salmon cat food is right out, but salmon scraps from human dinner are delectable. Wet food must be mashed into paste, but god help you if the dry food is slightly moist. It must CRUNCH
