Yeah purposeful to attempt to get a rise out of Frank, for which he is smart enough to not take the bait.

But what Micky thinks about Ange’s system is totally irrelevant to whether there has been buy in to this one

When Ferguson was managing the paper still delivered twice a day and you didn’t have instant reactions to it.

I found it interesting! I find this way to ask Frank about it puzzling. Why not pull an actual quote from the interview and ask Frank directly about it? Why this hiding the ball calling it “revealing” and putting words in VdVs mouth saying the buy in has been difficult? VdV didn’t say that.

but he calls the interview “revealing” (to who was it revealing?) and then stated that that the buy in has been difficult (has it been or has the form been poor) and that the styles are contrasting (are they? Toward the end with Ange we were playing lots of low blocks, similar to now).

I don’t think there’s a manager in the world who won’t piss off at least one person with their press conferences. If you don’t find them interesting or inspiring, then don’t listen to them.

those are two incredibly leading questions! he’s guiding him to react to VdVs interview by inserting what the journalist thinks about the interview in the question.

To be fair to Frank (and many other managers) the questions they get are so lazy and leading you’d never get anything interesting out of anyone.

I read the whole thing and I can’t really find the objectionable piece folks are upset about. Maybe I’m too kind.
