For flask upgrades and so on, while ignoring a vast majority of all other areas. so much more of the world is erased in the replay, and instead you just run around performing errands on your horse. At least, that’s been my experience, having played 10s of characters in that game

I get your point, and I agree the complaints can be silly sometimes. But Elden Ring is worse to replay than most other souls games, imo. It’s not necessarily “the items aren’t relevant to my build” but more so I spend the first chunk of every replay galloping across the same empty terrain-
