Glad the #Warframe community is all on the same page regarding Oberon's rework. /s

(For the record, as someone with Oberon as one of their mains, I love the rework overall, feel like an unkillable buff-god ), and absolutely missed playing my delightful bunny fae king.)
Two posts on the Warframe forum, back to back, about Oberon's Smite ability, with one complaining about it being nerfed, and the next saying it hits "like a Bullet Train." The rework has been a little contentious, to say the least.

The Hunter Highlights screen that comes up after a successful hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds, displaying various statistics. Talini used five endemic life. Urska a weak point with a special attack four times. Yung uwu doesn't have a statistic - he was there. And then there's Pom, who has Buffs and Heals Applied: 1606 times. That is not a small number, but each hunter did their part in this kill. Fantastic work, team!

Sorry everyone who plays #MonsterHunter with me, because I finally found an incredible modder to port my boy's hair from World to Wilds, and LOOK AT MY BOY I WILL NOT SHUT UP ABOUT HIM

He is PERFECT and if Capcom won't bring my boy's specific pomp back, I must take matters into my own hands.

It's Pom! He's a man with a fluffy, mulberry pompadour, round sunglasses, tanned skin, and a scruffy chinstrap for facial hair. He's looking off to the right with a somewhat pensive expression. Pom again, but this time, he's aiming his slinger - a slingshot/grappling hook weapon attached to his left arm - at the camera. His hair is fluffy and big and I love it. Pom and his big bird mount, Pretty Boy! Pretty Boy is a lovely lilac Seikret, and he's looking to steal Pom's hunting journal. Pom is smiling, keeping it away from him. His hair is very fluffy. Pom a fourth time, but now he's smiling gently at the camera in a blue-tinted area. You can see his eyes slightly through his glasses, and you'll never guess what I think about his hair. That's right! It's fluffy and perfect. I missed this hairstyle so much.

I -desperately- want my boy's pompadour from World back, and who knows if they'll be putting it in Wilds. They sure didn't add it to Rise. :(

This game also features Pom having a huge crush on a scrungly man, a canon gay love story, and Talini being ABSOLUTELY SHREDDED. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Pom listens to a shorter, Japanese man named Ujishige. They both have backstories as former soldiers, and Pom has a big old crush on him. Ujishige: "I owe it to those I couldn't protect then to do my best to protect us now." Pom and a man named Tamakazura look out over the ruins of a castle built into a snowy mountain. Tamakazura: "But leaving him here... just feels as heavy somehow." Pom rests in the hot springs, dressed only in his undergarments (which, in this case, includes a sleeved crop top). There are pink flowers in the water and a beam of light that shines directly on him. He looks tired. :( Throwback to SHREDDED TALINI, who stands in the foreground in the hot springs: you can see scars on her ABSOLUTELY RIPPED back, which is IMMACULATELY CHISELED. I wish every game had this option for body types. Pom (significantly softer in the muscle department) stands nearby, as they were having a conversation. Whoops, it looks like NPCs follow you into the hot springs, as Ujishige is just kind of hanging out with them. Get out of here, you.

Talini belongs to @artofanodyne.bsky.social, the best there is, as always! Seeing our characters explore such a poignant story about life and death really hit me hard, and I so love them.

Pom's weapon, the bladed wagasa (an umbrella you fight with) is visible on his back. Pom is wielding his wagasa as he runs toward the beast. Another fight screenshot, this time with Pom and Talini facing the Golden Tempest. The massive tiger roars, commanding the wind, its tendrils whipping up a cyclone. Golden Tempest, my beloved. ♥ An NPC wearing a mask says something that neatly sums up Pom's motivations in just about every timeline and iteration of his character. I've kept this one throughout future iterations and developments, as it works well for him. You know how it is with OCs. "You must value life or all that awaits is death. Above all, survive."

It's the "I've only had Arlo for a day and a half" meme from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but with the Drifter holding the newest Warframe, Temple. The text has been changed to say, "I've only had Temple for a day and a half. But if anything happened to them, I would kill everyone in Höllvania and then myself."

Pom, a Monster Hunter character with mulberry hair (which is usually up in a pompadour, but has been trimmed back as it has flattened out in the desert weather) sits in a field in the Windward Plains. The grasses are a warm, golden color, contrasting with the vibrant, blue feathers on his poncho. Attached to his back is his hunting horn, a giant drum with beads on a long shaft. Also, Hunting Horn gameplay feels fantastic: a perfect marriage of the nuance from World & the speed of Rise, plus fun, new tricks. The puddles in particular are a delight, way more useful than they were in World. Current fave is the G. Doshaguma horn, but they all sound so unique this time around!

Fingers crossed Pom gets his fluffy pomp and glasses in a future update, but until then, he and Purl look great! I love them. 🥹

Main story of Monster Hunter Wilds completed! Though the story was about what I expected, the game is a total blast. Monster designs are incredible & varied, the fights had some stellar surprises for us, & the soundtrack is amazing, as always! Can't wait to dig into High Rank!

My Hunter, Pom. He's a man with mulberry hair hanging loosely in his face - his trademark pompadour has had to be trimmed back for this game, as they don't have his hairstyle in the character creator. He's smiling toward the camera. Three people sit at a meal: two children, and between them a pink, cat-like person known as a Felyne. She's very fluffy and smiling brightly. A baby Seikret chirps at its parent. These are bird-like creatures, and the baby is little more than a ball of fuzz. Not to be dramatic, but I would lay down my life for him if he asked. Pom rides his pink Seikret through a dark cavern. Behind him is another person on their Seikret. The lighting is soft here.
