Bratmobile - The Real Janelle + Peel Sessions
I thought their foul mouthed cheerleader, Martian surf guitar, and levitating drum thing was the best in the business when I first heard them, and I still do!

Puppet Wipes - Live Inside
Return of the Puppet Wipes! Great stumbling scuzz fuzz postpunk jams to lead us through the squalid nights.

Caroline Fraser redraws the Pacific Northwest(and the larger country) as the geography of hell filled with rotten volcanoes, homicidal bridges, toxic plumes, lead poisoned children, and necrophilic night stalkers.

The Tower Recordings - Furniture Music for Evening Shuttles
The first I bought by them. I heard the name in reviews on the Aquarius newsletter and I had a policy then of buying everything I saw that was released on Siltbreeze. Thus discovered a woozy and spacey gem.

Dry Socket - The First Five Years
Don’t track much punk nowadays…especially of the hardcore variant, but occasionally a band catches my attention. Local band that shows that chugging guitars and ranting and unhinged screaming vocals is still a winning formula.

David Sylvian - Secrets of the Beehive
Moody masterpiece time.

To the mild annoyance of Gareth whenever we play family games I put on the Cozy Synth channel and it led me to this project Trollslottet. I think considered dungeon synth, a genre I should enjoy more but it sounds like Vangelis doing one final concert in a freezing cave.

What an odd thing to say. And very convincing.

Getting zoned out!

Which is it ghouls, can people not buy houses because they like to get weekly treats or are we supposed to be spending thousands on new IPhones that barely have any notable improvements?

The Wicker Man soundtrack filtered through a haunted sewer.

The Tower Recordings - The fraternity of moonwalkers
Lunar murk, subterranean clangs, stumbling psych, folk music for no one, and nocturnal rituals from this nineties collective.

Haven’t seen political leaders this connected to the needs of their people since 1789.

Grouper - Way Their Crept
Kranky has reissued Liz’s great first album. Hopefully more of this period gets unearthed as it’s as excellent as anything she’s done but with a distinct flavor of the dank basement noise scene we had on the west coast then.

The sex pest grifter contingent is figuring out their talking points. Matt might be flying too close to Sun on this one though.

David Sylvain - Gone to Earth
Noir ambient ballads and shadow music from the new wave crooner gone avant-gard.

Funky 4th world jazz ambience.

This headline makes a lot of sense when you realize how complicit the New York Times has been in the Epstein case.

This is genius because all the people who want to murder him will be going nuts trying to outbid each other. Unfortunately all the money will go to antivax freaks.
