I don’t know if I’ve ever read anything quite like Attaboy, but I sure dug it lots. Comics came do so much in so many ways and it’s always so exciting to see someone find a new approach or application to the medium.

The Lab Press gave me a beautiful copy of their book Essentials back at NYCC.
An excellent team of artists and writers make this story about subjective realities colliding stand out! Solid premise, great execution, with an emotional core about the human experience, and its value. When’s volume 2

Calavera P.I. Is a ton of fun, blending noir and folklore into a story about crime and social ills. I love Marcos color choices and minimalist tendencies. Solid cartooning. Would 100% recommend to folks looking for a different take on the classic noir detective. More, please.

I LOVED Omega Kids 1. The X-Men have always been child soldiers, but Quintin’s inability to recognize that he is the system and old and therefore uncool is the perfect comedic touch to a story about what comes after the revolution. Felt it in my old punk bones. Well constructed scenes, solid art.

I bought a new bookshelf today and it’s already overflowing with books. Previously these were a series of floor piles. Looking forward to organizing it. Gonna have to get another bookshelf.

Star Trek The Last Starship wastes no time in setting the its explosive status quo but what surprised me was how effortlessly it made me invest in its characters. That’s the Hivemind’s real secret weapon in all of their Trek work, and it allows their knowledge of trek lore a fertile ground to grow!
