2 things can be true at once:

1) Current AI is overhyped and its capabilities oversold.

2) If true AGI is possible, it will require immense investment, and will be the most powerful tool ever created.

But we're not close at all to AGI. Investors do not understand LLMs fundamental limitations.

Trump is so transparent: thin skinned and scared to death to answer any questions related to Epstein files.

An innocent man has no fear of the truth. Why are you so afraid, Donny?

But still really compelling point, our stable climate is very unique in the earth's history.

If our civilization is to continue to evolve, providing we don't destroy ourselves sooner, adaptation to increasingly unstable climate is vital.

One correction: ice age cycles are driven by "orbital forcing", i.e. the earth's wobble, tilt, precession, & orbital shape, which changes how much/little sunlight is concentrated on certain areas of the earth's surface.

Increased albedo is contributing factor

Ice Ages Follow a Hidden Pattern, and Scientists Just Cracked It
Glacial cycles aren’t random; they follow a predictable rhythm dictated by Earth’s orbit. A study analyzing climate records from the past 800,000 years found that specific alignments of Earth's wobble...

Bondi is corrupt enough that I don't doubt she would/is heavily obscuring the full files, but outright destruction of digital files is not likely.

Bondi is smart enough to know Trump won't live forever, and she will do only enough to appease his delusions while saving her own ass.
November 19, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Trump directs Bondi to investigate democrats with Epstein connections, creates pretense for selective release of files and redaction.

Trump's long resistance and sudden pivot can only mean he feels in control of the information now, and that he is desperately afraid of what it might reveal.

But an underlying question is left unexplored: how do/can we measure "learning" and "rigor" in both students and teachers in higher ed.? What does success look like?

This will always be impossible and imperfect, but how can we expand our definitions and metrics for success more holistically?

...and this article only suggests ways to push AI out of the classroom, not how to critically engage with AI. Already, AI is taking jobs of young adults at higher rates than other age groups.

Rather than dismissing it, teachers should provide students with critical tools for understanding AI.
November 15, 2025 at 8:33 PM
As this article suggests, AI has contributed to a dilution of rigor and learning in higher ed, but this is a symptom of a deeper systemic problem: teachers are not evaluated in meaningful ways, held to consistent standards, or valued for their teaching ability.

AI is poorly understood I general...

A lot to unpack here.

Using GPA is not a reliable metric for student knowledge or how rigorous college is over time. It's far too subjective, observer-biased, and subject matter dependant.

AI has drastically changed how knowledge is accessed and how both students and instructors cheat themselves

Don't break the law, and your country might become an authoritarian regime.

Read the article, the sheriff's office did not provide details of the charges.

Trump et al. are provoking escalation by sending national guard to democratic cities that have historically low crime rates. Authoritarian.

Lol I know what you mean.

It's a strange business model to say in one breath "this is the greatest technology humanity has ever created and we might be doomed. Also, this is a good investment."

Speaking of, this article is a good read: jurgengravestein.substack.com/p/preprint-h...

Generally, I agree, seems like Anthropic's framing of this hacking effort is both overstating its success and Anthropic's safety measures.

I haven't found 3rd party verification/evidence.

Still, this hacking campaign using agentic AI should raise alarm in the AI/AGI safety+alignment community.

Are there any other legal pathways to force the release of the Epstein files?

Even if the House bill to release the files passes both the House and Senate, Trump will undoubtedly veto it.

What other options exist?
