I know I should wear a mask. But I also haven't been sick since I got COVID in 2021, and I have a very large beard that makes wearing a mask uncomfortable (and maybe less effective?). I don't know how to keep my rationalizations from superseding my memories of how bad COVID sucked.

It's amazing what Fox News has done to the brains of these people. I remember Thanksgiving in 2015 with my (Republican, but apparently sane) grandparents, talking about Trump's candidacy. Both frowned. My grandmother said, "Ugh. No." Then they both voted for him after falling into the MAGA hole.

You're right. I did. And like every other time I fried my Thanksgiving turkey, it went off without a hitch, because I'm not a dumbass.

Because it's delicious? Dunno what else to say. I fried my turkey today, and it turned out great. Quick cook, moist and delicious, left the oven open for everything else.

I deep fried my turkey today. It was delicious. Baking is nice too. Almost like different cooking methods produce different results. Crazy, huh?
