My mom, Velma Mae Johnston Vosper (left) and two other great mom's, Joan Cameron (centre), and Marion McNevin (right), before any of them had dreamt of us, probably 1948-49. Miss her e.v.e.r.y. single day.

When a storm of harassment disturbs our thinking and brings us down to our knees, the umbrella of our imagination can shield us against destructive aggression. It is offering shelter and is teaching us how to conquer ourselves, train our resilience, and grit our teeth." Eric Pevernagie

Captured an early Spring Mourning Cloak butterfly in the garden today. Lovely. Just east of Toronto.

Seriously, I am taking a break and heading for fiction. I mean, fiction as in a book, not 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue fiction. Today, it is local author Steve Burrows' first birder mystery, "A Siege of Bitterns". He is always fun.

Trump issues new Executive Order unleashing lawlessness: MAKING THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA SAFE AND BEAUTIFUL.
Introduced just days before Hands Off protests. Please be safe. Google How to Protest Safely.

Trump just added a 25% tariff on all non-American made vehicles. Okeedokee. We're good with the vehicles built in Canada.
Aw, shucks. No Teslas. Sorry Elon.

Maybe Trump has something on everyone, a Sherlock Holmes' Charles Augustus Magnussen sort of character from S3 E4. Able to blackmail anyone with a secret. And everyone has a secret.
Yep. That's what I'm thinkin'. We all have something we want to keep hidden.
'Cept me, of course.

Wonder what Trump would do with this beauty. A newly opened, serpentine bridge in Jinshazhou that glows with the colours of the rainbow.

Maybe, because it was #Signal, a platform the NSA had already warned the gov't not to use because it had security vulnerabilities, it was #Russia who added @theatlantic.com's Editor-in-Chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, to the text chain. Just wonderin' out loud.

A 25-year old woman in a #hijab was approached in Ajax Public Library yesterday by a woman who poured a liquid over her and attempted to light her on fire. This is in Durham Region, less than 15 minutes from my home. Please get to know your #Muslim neighbours. They need you. bit.ly/4iCvfxe

Stop letting Google track your every move. Leave big tech and move to more private search engines. I've used @ecosia.bsky.social for years. It doesn't create personal profiles and anonymizes searches within a week. And, it plants trees!!! How awesome is that!!

Working to reduce my earthprint by simplifying my life, limiting excess, & returning to pre-industrial practices where possible. This is one of the latter. I LOVE it so am sharing. This brick of soap makes dishwashing easy, has no packaging, and transports just soap, no water. bit.ly/GrnWyKtchnSoap
