Things you do for elderly gentlemen. He is 17.5. It has barely stopped raining in weeks. He doesn't want to pee outside, I do not want him to pee on my bedroom floor so we play 'guess when the cat needs to go to the toilet?'.

I have never, ever felt threatened by a trans person in a bathroom. Never, not once. Outside however, been threatened by men on a regular basis, especially when young and naive. BTW I'm not a man hater. Hey, I married one. Some of my dearest friends have been men (sorry, lol, had to say that).

Three shapes drying in the autumn air, waiting for me to trim them, before they get a 'naked raku' treatment' next month: dipping in white slip, then to a heated outdoor kiln, then into a bin of flammables, to combust further, and from there, into water. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Learned how to do this today. It was incredible fun. Then had six lovely friends around for my bday, to help eat them. And it's autumn and the humidity has lifted and the days are utterly glorious.

Rather pleased with the effect of the glazes in this cup, reminding me of a gorgeous encaustic painting I own by a friend of mine, Kate Clarke. I tried encaustic - massive fail! but I might repeat this combo when glazing again :)
