been tryin to get some more painting under my belt, started this in CSP and finished in Procreate. and got some helpful notes from @razzrenee.bsky.social !

I had first generation 360 and PS3 and they both died twice. PS3 hurt especially because the first model is the only one that can play both PS1 and PS2 games, but the thermal paste issue pretty much guarantees it'll crap out before too long

Huion makes great tablets but not all software supports it equally, mine works fine with Harmony on Win10 but different setups will probably vary

as an animator some of my go-tos are TVPaint, Toon Boom Harmony, and Adobe Animate (when a job requires it) and Clip Studio for most other art projects, stuff like that being usable on Linux would be a huge hurdle dealt with already

yeah the software that does or doesn't work on linux is a big factor for me. eventually i could probably get comfy with it but not having Clip Studio or my main animation software would make the jump more difficult

i'm open to a little tinkering if it means a better experience on the whole, just don't wanna make the plunge and then realize none of my important shit works lol

i think getting a linux PC at some point and keeping my current windows one in case i need it could be a good option
