It DEFINITELY helps to be the kind of autistic that's built for running the same measure over and over and over and over until it's comfortable to play and I don't have to think too hard about it, then running the measure again with the one after it so it's smooth the whole way

100%. It's also pretty telling that a lot of arts are billed and charged per project, not per hour of labor. So many clients believe creative work isn't real work and anyone who can do it must love it enough to get undercut. Even getting a part replaced on your car, they charge for labor hours!

The trippiest part is, I used to work in the visual arts and this is actually way better than that was. It is absolutely still miserable and needs to be addressed in future negotiations, but all across the board, the arts are getting brutalized
