Right-wing media usually suggests the world is unstable and out of control, even where it isn't, usually blaming an out-group. Where you have vulnerable people suffering from climate chaos, and often displaced, and increasing inequality, it's not going to point the finger at friends of its owner.

Yes, but without the current superdeduction, fixed until 2030, the project could still go ahead and be a net income for the Exchequer (even though that doesn't of course justify the environmental and human costs of Scope 3 emissions). The loss comes later.

Revealing article. Exactly how the 'junktanks' retain their influence needs even more delving.

Maybe the words 'growth' and 'deregulation' can be code for domination by rich/corporations, like 'freedom' and 'democracy' are sometimes used as code for domination by US rich/corporations.
