What the hell?
Semisonic, the band who sings "Closing Time", responding on social media to the fact that the White House posted a tiktok with their song in it. It reads, We did not authorize or condone the White House's use of our song "Closing Time" in any way. And no, they didn't ask. The song is about joy and possibilities and hope, and they have missed the point entirely.

Me texting my dad. The last thing he sent to me was on Friday night. I sent on Sunday during the race, thinking I could confide in him. Me: Said "ooo I'd like a lemonade!" And I was ignored, which was fine! Like, whatever. Then I asked for a sip and she shook her head?? Lol never anything enough to "make a deal over", because y'know I'm dramatic and emotional and unreasonable 😂 I'm so alone Him: Please stop. Everyone is stressed. Make the decision to enjoy this and not be negative Me: I'm having fun! This is so cool!
