The non-profit Black Environmental Initiative educates the black community on environmentalism + food justice. This year, BEI ran weekly urban agriculture workshops for Black youth, covering topics such as planting, composting, food preservation, and more.

programming for youth in gardening, culinary arts, + a farmers’ market with local foods.
