Infamously bisexual. Life long Democrat, but in the same disappointing way as your home town pizza parlor.

lgBTQ+.
This place is AMAZING. Runs specials on delivery prety frequently too. Worth the extra delivery fees, better than anything in DC for this price.

For better or worse, she had a bad day. She hit numbers less than 2 years earlier which would have given her bronze. She was the oldest to qualify for the games, well past the prime of most lifters. I'm all for a conversation about inclusion, but weightlifting is the worst example for fairness.

SHAME ON YOU. Republicans never keep their promises. You just hurt every single person who gets ACA insurance and you know it. $550 more every month for every Virginian on ACA programs. I'm embarrassed to have met and supported you in the past.

I'm starting to wonder if they're TRYING to create food shortages because that's when people do start getting desperate and then violent. If you're trying to manufacture a crisis to crack down further or escalate violence taking away food for 10% of the population works.

She's a bad person. Her name is Caitlyn. You don't get to take that away because you don't like her. Nobody deserves to be misgendered or deadnamed. If only the "good ones" get correct names and pronouns then eventually nobody gets them. Be better than this.

Unfortunately the Constitution leaves this power explicitly to the states. An election must be held but there's no time limit federally. Congress can't enforce rules for states run their elections without a constitutional amendment. Voting rights yes, election rules no.

Thank you for doing the work and publishing the conversation. It's so wildly frustrating that so few major publications will work with voices that aren't conservative or centrist. Having more frank conversations on these topics was critical and this is a major loss.

Your work will be remembered

Actually a travesty. Teen Vogue was a shockingly reputable publication with forward thinking politics that reflected the generations it represented. I've worked with several media companies in my career. Watched multiple go through "reorg" after "reorg" where competent people got axed over politics.

Thank you for continuing to hold the line and push for ACA to remain intact. Please make sure that ALL care is covered including abortion within current Hyde rules, gender affirming care for all ages, and keeping premiums subsidized. Don't cave on any of it.

There’s nuance and while you’re right most were rounded up and imprisoned rather than murdered outright. And so far as refugee status, that’s not a reliable long term plan. Look at what refugee spaces look like. And read about the SS St Louis. German rhetoric has a global impact on public opinion.

I hope you are right, time will tell. But “rounding up and murdering” isn’t how it went then and it won’t this time. It will be criminalization with an option to detransition, isolate at home, or face men’s prison (trans men too). The first two aren’t life, the third is the consequence of living.

3 In the 22nd century, when these histories and patterns repeat again no one will say “my trans grandmother / gay grandfather survived this time. This is the story.” Because history tells us that even after the 1940s we didn’t return to Weimar acceptance for another 70 years.

2 It meant no one to keep their stories alive through oral traditions. No familial reverence for their suffering. No trans or gay grandparents. And no children or grandchildren to honor their stories in art and culture. My friends will remember me, but I will not be memorialized for generations.

Appreciate you saying this. I HAVE had people guilt me for saying I will leave. The people that stayed in Germany to help their oppressed peers weren’t heroes. They were martyrs. Heroes are the people who aren’t oppressed who risk it all to help. Oppressed that stay died. Self preservation isn’t bad

Police and private entities keep track of former names and aliases. If they have your ID they can check if you have a deadname in many scenarios.

Aside from that this will get enforced on cis women as much as trans women. And trans men will functionally have nowhere to go.
