And then it all came crashing down in the early 1960s. Amtrak has partially righted the ship with Moynihan Train Hall but even that will never be as grand as what it replaced.
The death of Penn did save Grand Central from the exact same monster in Stuart Saunders, though. And Toronto lives!

Given the volume of video evidence on how stupid and catastrophic this is, it amazes me how many people still try it. But then I stop and think, look who our president is, and it all makes perfect sense.

@bnsfrailway.bsky.social being Assholes and suing them over the Northern Pacific name probably didn’t help.
BNSF would be wise to put their money where their mouth is and do a heritage unit program like *every* other Class I railroad has now done if they’re going to be anal about trademarks.

This is going to piss a lot of people off, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: although I know, unions remain important for economic fairness, particularly in this day and age, it’s extremely hard to support/respect them when they/their members support people like this.
