I'm so grateful for Final Fantasy IX that I can't rightly put into words how the game has helped me. But maybe this post will give you an idea. Ok definitely last post. At least for today. Sorry for the jumbled mess 😅

I wanted to be like them. I wanted to be them. To this day, the game still resonates with me. I still cry at the end every single playthrough. Just listening to the soundtrack soothes me. Life's been so hard lately, and I'm still, decades later, taking comfort from this game.

Games were my only escape. They made me feel safe. They inspired me. Final Fantasy IX was the greatest escape for me. It's characters; the hardships they endured, their optimism in the face of horror and despair..

I think every Final Fantasy game is perfect exactly as it is. Including og 12 and Zodiac Age. And all remasters and remakes. I 💜 them all tbh
