The bad: our beloved dog was diagnosed with cancer and passed over the summer. He was the very bestest boy, and we miss him so much.
A brindle dog lies on a brick patio in the sun, in front of some pink flowers and other greenery. His eyes are mostly closed, he's panting a little, and he looks very happy and content.

All of the squares for my Berroco #vintageMKAL25 are done! Now I just have to sew them together. Actually they've been done for more than a month, but this year has had a lot of life things and I have been bad about posting. The big things:

I actually finished March's squares for the Berroco mystery knit along only slightly into April, but didn't take pictures in a timely manner. The intarsia square was so close to the Pride flag that I made an extra one. Downside: so many ends to weave in... 🧶 🌈 #berrocoYarn #vintageMKAL25

February's squares for my Berroco MKAL-as-Pride-flags. There are supposed to be 6 of this pattern, but I got bored and will probably make two extra in a different pattern. I'm mostly confident that the curling edges will be fine once I sew the blocks together. 🧶 🌈 #berrocoYarn #vintageMKAL25

I'm doing the Berroco mystery afghan, but rolling my own color combination. These are the stripes for the first square, which does not have stripes in the pattern, but this is my blanket and I can do what I want! 🧶 #VintageMKAL25

I'm knitting a blanket! It's half way done, as long as you ignore the border. Which is going to make all the rest of the hexes take longer. But we're going with "halfway" for motivational purposes.

Three of the outer hexes have thick black edging on two sides, but all the other edges are unfinished and awaiting more hexes. Unfinished ends trail off of many of the edges.
