On the right is the original Regent Picture house which was renamed the Gaumont in 1950.
It became the Odeon in 1976 & in 1999 opened as The Regent Theatre.

Night all.
Gone 02:30 here.

Bit late for me.
Tired Ted.

Thanks to all whom have noticed me, it matters.

I wish you all, wherever you are, a goodnight, good morning, good afternoon.

Burslem Park.

A statue of a boy pouring water from a ewer.

Removed in late 60's

Stoke-on -Trent Staffordshire.

A new sculture was installed called Mayfly Throne because no photos of the original, broken by 'children' in the 1960's, then taken away and lost, could be found !!!

Here's one !

The up the Backs or the in the Entry; we'd say both but never cobbled.

Being a 65 year old pedantic bloke remembering being 5, entry, was straight, backs led off from that.

Example below.
Red was entry, green was backs.

Can't read it Prof !

This is the second Guardian article I've tried to read (linked from Bluesky).

First day I've seen Guardian do this.

Talking of bridges:-

Couple of weeks ago I gave my respect, to the spirits of warriors that died fighting to secure a bridge called Bénouville Bridge that they re-named Pegasus.

It stopped German armour from attacking Sword beach.

They were Commandos & airborne glider troops & a famous Canadian.

Where's the garlic?
Where's the butter?
Where's the parsley?
Where's the hint of fresh crushed black pepper?
Where is the crust on the baguette?

Sorry mate, couldn't resist.

Borrowed the photo below but next time you're in NW France, let me know. I'll make you even better than photo, all fresh.

Look up high level Triglycerides mate.

Please, next time at Docs ask for a full bloods test.

After seeing the meals you post each night, I would guess, unless you are a teenager, you will be well into the very high risk cat.

Said months ago I'd try help you eat more green.😉👍😀

No lying or making yourself out to be a cool kid.
Post the first record you bought.
If you can remember the shop or circumstances add that too

Metal guru T Rex, Butlin's Pwllheli, June 1972.
It cost 45p, which was 5/7ths of my 1 week holiday pocket money.
Didn't have record player till Xmas !

Sound on please.

I watch on Canal+ with French commentary. Or I can have sound of game/crowd with no commentary.
I then always watch MOTD (BBC).

Subtle differences in how our 2 French chaps names are pronounced.

English Connatea
French Cone-A-Tay

English Ekeytiky
French Ekee-Te-kay

Video SOUND ON, please.
