I think this is at least partially due to the global nature of social media. Antisemitism was always higher outside of the US, and before the rise of social media US kids weren't exposed to as much of it.

I've never voted for a Republican in my life. But you'd like to kick me out of the tent because you think there are too many people who are against Trump who don't pass your purity test. This is a surefire way to lose elections.

i wish I could quit X altogether, but there are still enough voices over there that I want to hear, so I'm stuck being both here and there. If they could make Bluesky more welcoming to both center-left and center-right, that would help.

If all you hope for BlueSky is to be like a very online progressive subreddit, that's fine. But I personally was hoping that it completely replace Twitter as the center for political discussion on the internet, and it doesn't look like there is any hope for that at this point.
