There’s something so alluring about the really strong 2 handed weapons in DS1 in particular. The zweihander, claymore, great club, black knight halberd etc. find it very difficult to use a different kind of weapon in a replay

Another great thing with gamechamp’s work is she will go harder than anyone else to try and stick perfectly to the rules of the challenge. It has made it difficult to watch other challenge YouTubers though because while watching other videos I think “if gamechamp did it she’d do it right”.

Every major publisher seemingly just wants to make UE5 tech demos rather than video games. Slobber over the teraflops of raytracing per polygon so you spend $80 on the same game 3 times a year and forget that you play video games to have fun. I don’t even like halo that much this just pisses me off.

Half of all remakes seem to fall in the camp of “so obviously misses the point” it’s absurd. Why are these kinds of remakes trying to look like the same exact game as each other rather than as a faithful remake of the original.

They made the same mistake as anniversary where they saw the game’s original style & artificiality as a “flaw” that needs “fixing” with UE5 graphics rather than as very deliberate artistic direction (also imo even if it was unintentional art direction the remake should still aim to capture it).

If the controversies around them didn’t cut into their bottom line/risk potential suits then Apple would’ve happily kept the same structural flaws in the 6 in later iPhones. Samsung would’ve happily sold more note 7s. Companies aren’t your friends.

It’s easy to say “just don’t bend it” but if you’re liable to forget to take your phone out of your back pocket when you sit down or accidentally drop it then you need to know if it’ll bend, break, or even explode. Because the phone manufacturers won’t tell you if it does. They just want your money.

I mean no offense but his whole channel is about testing phone durability. It may seem stupid but testing breaking points this way can help show points of failure to a consumer so they can avoid buying a fragile phone or know to invest in a case that protects weak points structurally.
