yeah natural cloudy daylight is the best for photography but have to get lucky with weather. really hard to recreate light that is all encompassing like a cloudy day

This is what I use to paint, just get the primaries and a white and black and you can mix any color you need. my favorite way to paint. I'd recommend putting down a layer of gesso helps the paint for being absorbed to fast into the paper
