NGC6960 last night.
2hours on target got 44mins of 20sec exposures. A combo of high cloud and star-trailing caused the losses I think. I’ll try again; it’s too pretty not to.

NGC6888, aka the Crescent Nebula, is an emission nebula in Cygnus about 5000ly away.
I’m going to try a longer exposure to see if I can get more detail in the nebula itself. This was 10sec images, so I may try 20sec even though I’m still stuck in AltAz mode.

M5 cluster from Folkestone. My sky is bortle 5 and this was taken when the sun was only 12-13deg below the horizon.
I’ll get no dark nighttime sky for another 6 weeks or so.

Feb 2011 the English National Cross Country championships were held there. I don’t recall that it stopped, except when the sleet started.

I finally got around to getting an adapter to fit my camera to my telescope and had my first go this evening.
It’s not in focus, and the exposure could possibly be better but, hey, it worked.
More practice with both telescope and camera needed I think.
