32.8% - Manchester City's draw at the Emirates included the lowest ever possession average by a Pep Guardiola team in a top-flight league match (today his 601st), while the two lowest have both been at Arsenal in the Premier League (32.8% today, 36.5% in March 2023). Pragmatism.

The many moods of my fave sunset spot in Kisarazu, Chiba.

Been going here many years and there's always something to photograph there. Be it the amazing sunsets, on flat-calm days. Or the birds. Or the helicopters from the nearby JSDF base.

Here's four of my many faves.

The Wolf Moon that year. A deep blue sky behind it all. Sunset at the clam digging beach, next to the Japan Self Defence Force helicopter base in Kisarazu, Chiba, Japan. The sun has disappeared and the last oranges of the day are about ti give way to the blues of dusk and darkness. Mount Fuji sits in the far distance, about 100kms away. A tanker is at anchor out in the bay. A few distant specks of light are visible on the opposite coastline, likely the industrial ports west of Yokohama. In the foreground is a rickety fence and some tall grass. A heron is sat on one of the fence posts, silhouetted against the last light of the day. A line of telegraph poles silhouetted against the blue of the dusk, at the clam digging place next to the JSDF helicopter base in Kisarazu, Chiba, Japan. Slight wind, so the water has some ripples. Distorting the reflections of the poles a little. A Kawasaki CH-47J/JA helicopter (the Boeing Chinook as manufacured under license here in Japan) silhouetted against the orange tones of sunset. Returning to the JSDF heli base at Kisarazu, Chiba, Japan. The distinctive cone of Mount Fuji is in the bottom of this vertical frame.

Cold light of day, the number of injuries and the amount of energy Arsenal are putting into every game, every three days. I just can’t be hugely angry with players or coach. I think they’re short and they’re giving absolutely everything. The guys upstairs need to help them now. I need their energy.
