The result was amazing! Even though we didn't have much time, people would find themselves reflecting about what they think is more important, what is the connection between these ideas, and - most beautifully - they would build on each other's work!

So I proposed a booth where I would invite people to collective draw an Open Scholarship Garden. They would pick a concept, idea or practice from a pile on the table, think about how this could be represented as a garden element, and how it would contribute to or harm our Open Scholarship garden.

Two weeks ago I was at the 1st Canadian #OpenScience and #OpenScholarship Conference, in Montreal. I usually hate conferences, but I'm super happy I went to this one! What convinced me was that they had a booth format that reminded me a lot my #MozFest days! 🧪

We would like to play around with ecosystem modelling, so we designed a Summer School for that!
With training on Madingley Models, high performance computing, git and code optimization, we'll be at @ubcbiodiversity.bsky.social on August 18-22.
