Everything I own has been reduced to a carry on suitcase that would fit in an overhead bin and a backpack that can be stowed under the seat in front of me. Suitcase is only half full by the way but I am lucky; there are people who didn't get a chance to pack anything.

I am an Altadena, California resident and nearly 48 hours ago, I learned that my family of 4 and I had lost everything we owned in this tragedy. The house that my wife and 3 beautiful children occupy, has been reduced to a pile of ash.
