I prefer to think of the members reminding the military of their oaths in terms of grievance 23 of the Declaration of Independence. They owe no obligation to a tyrant who would wage war on the citizens of this country.

I recall the concerns the country had when the department was created. An occupying militarized force was one of them. The original mission seems quaint by comparison.

Paragraph 1353 allows for payment by private entities but it doesn’t specify pay and allowances. I supposed it could be termed by the GAO as distributed for subsistence but it still ain’t right and gives the impression the military is for hire.

I presume the impact area was whiskey or zulu. And one or more of the special use airspaces was in effect. And that the appropriate ammo was being used. The range operations manual is explicit and any deviation will be uncovered in the investigation. Closing the highway was a good risk mitigation.

Afraid of a collapsing center because he won’t be able to both sides his takes and will have to hold his nose and be absorbed by and relegated to anonymity within the “progressive epistemic bubble”. Too much independent journalism is staking a position in the culture war. It lacks principle.

This treaty still applies. The treaty is also outlined in the law off war manual updated 2023. It’s a fair argument that genocide as defined here has been committed.
