aren't they just so fun. shortly after this scene Felix says, during an impromptu stand-up scene while being pelted with rotten produce: "I haven't seen this much fruit salad since I was in California!"

there are a lot of fun creature/monster designs in the movie. and don't even get me started on the twinkle/glitter animation effects. used sparingly, but sooo well.

man has lived in my head mysteriously for years. sometimes my memory is like a steel trap. other times it is like cheese cloth. he'd cross my mind from time to time and i thought, i'll find you- eventually. having a shit day & suddenly while watching a Felix movie: there he is. all this time.

this rocked me to my core. thank you SO much for taking the time to lay this all out, i wholeheartedly agree with every point and this makes a movie i already loved even more compelling to me. i think i "felt" these things, but hadn't yet been able to be truly cognizant of them until reading this. 🎇

joel asks "if she's willing to murder, why does she bother with all of this for 20 yrs?" & i feel like that glosses over the fact that murder is difficult: physically, emotionally, mentally, & socially. sure, she flirted with it as a last resort, but it makes sense to me she didnt just hop to it lol
