This.

We’ve long left the point when ICE is focused on immigration.

It’s a fear patrol, deployed against people—all people—to keep us afraid and in line.
Sanders: I am very worried that ICE is becoming a domestic army for Trump, and this goes way beyond the issue of immigration. It goes to the movement of this country toward authoritarianism and fear.

Terrifying and prescient. We are deeply in this now. To stop it will cost lives. Not doing so will ensure even more lives are lost along with all freedom.
Dr. @timothysnyder.bsky.social has written many powerful works, but this one stopped me dead in my tracks when I first read it. Please take the time, and share widely.

It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

If Congress actually cared about what it's seeing, it could pass that overnight.

Sometimes it's nice to escape into a good book. Dan Brown's latest Langdon adventure is a wild ride and well worth a read.

I just finished reading Kamala Harris' new book, 107 Days. It's well worth a read. What she accomplished despite the disappointing result of her campaign is important as is her message that all is not lost. Together we can move forward and rebuild our country.

While I'm now reading the latest book in Louise Penny's Gamache series, The Black Wolf, I recently finished reading its predecessor and wrote up some thoughts about The Grey Wolf. This series is well worth reading. agoodreedreview.com/2025/11/05/b...

This is an informative piece from Jay Kuo about what power Trump has, and more importantly, doesn't have to militarily take over blue cities. Hint, he doesn't have that power.
