Crashtest is now published in the Apple Store! 💪

I’m making crashtest.app available in the Microsoft and Apple App Stores to make it more accessible to more people.

An exe installer, DMG file, AppImage, .deb, Flatpak and even Homebrew are already available.

You should be able to get Crashtest the most convenient way you prefer, no time wasted.

✅ CMD+L hotkey to access URL bar with corresponding placeholder symbol

✅ copy to clipboard

✅ press ESC to restore current URL like in a browser

✅ URL bar automatically handles correct HTTP type and displays type based on response

Bug mysteriously squashes itself.

Ok, it's time to step away from the computer.

Someone just sent me a PR for a bug fix on crashtest.app

It’s a first and a big milestone for me, that someone would like the app and spend their valuable time sending a bug fix with before/after video capture and all is just amazing and hugely validating!🙏🙏

LLMs can be great for some stuff, even "one-shotting" certain things - landing pages for example, they can do pretty well at now!

... automating a multi platform CI pipeline with code signing, ehhh not so much. 🤣

I made crashtest.app getting carried away just out of plain curiosity, it is inspired heavily by @yaak.app but rather than
@tauri.app I went with wails.io.

Not exactly “ready” as of yet but I am now excited to build it up! 💪🤷

I added WHOIS functionality to ip.now

You can now do `curl ip.now/1.1.1.1` or `curl ip.now/google.com` to quickly get information about any IP or domain 💪

So this thing is all open source eh that’s pretty cool. Has anyone made their own bsky apps?

After getting some feedback I've made more detailed JSON output available:

✅ At the terminal using curl ip.now/details
✅ JSON directly in the browser at ip.now/details
✅ Prettified JSON with copy to clipboard on the website by clicking the bottom left info button

Wow! 200+ unique visitors to myip.fail in just a couple days and 6m visit duration!? I’m blown away.

Plausible makes tracking this with no Google fun and easy.

What’s next? Keep it simple and move on, or add more functionality?

What's your favorite tool for making it easy for users to provide feedback / send feature requests?

The main use case for this is to quickly verify what your public IP address is, the need for that can arise in many different situations but it's just nice to be able to instantly grab it with a short curl command.

But should it have additional features too? If so, what would you like to see? lmk!

I been tinkering on myip.fail - my excuse to learn about Cloudflare Workers.

Just added provider info including company and ASN, location details, and device info (browser, OS).
