My project for the evening. First time making a costrel. Happy with the embossing, but I need to do it on both sides; embossing this much actually widens the embossed piece just enough to make the two pieces no longer line up.

I like his aesthetic, but I am tempted to tinker to make it fit my workload and preferred hardware.

The belt is complete! This was an amazing challenge, and brought all of my skills together. Pushed my envelope. I feel very accomplished.

Progress on my latest leather commission. Experimenting with different textures as a way to add depth and variety to the piece. I'll smooth out some of the marks tonight. Very, very happy with how this is turning out!

Adventures in leatherworking. I got some resist today, which is a coating that makes leather resist absorbing pigmentation, hence its name. Depending in where you apply it, you can make some very interesting contrast!
