My understanding is that while the authors suggest that rounded wingtips would be the more efficient shape, but there just isn't enough fossil evidence to show that that was the case for the majority of pterosaurs

I love how the wings form little, shallow cups. Real cool lil detail!

I don't really like taking extant animals and slapping their color pattern on a pterosaur, especially if it's recognizable. But sometimes, I'll find two animals and use the colors of one, but with the pattern of the other!
