Awesome! I'll be looking forward to it.

Also, have you seen the "Twilight Zone - Planet of the Apes" episode that someone did a while ago? They edited the movie down to 30 min in B&W, with a full intro/outro. It's actually quite good. It's quite impressive! archive.org/details/twil...

I love the Planet of the Apes series! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Do they need to return to the "normal" Predator formula after this? (I've not seen it yet, but I want to). Would it be worth going back to the original AvP Dark Horse comics and try that again? The comics show that the concept works. Maybe a TV follow up to Alien Earth when it eventually wraps up?

I'll give Coppola credit for putting his money where his mouth is. He set out to make the movie he wanted, and used his own money to do so. Good or bad, there aren't a lot of filmmakers out there who would even try this.

Wise money decision? No. But I don't think making money was the point.

Metamor is the word that I was familiar with.

It looks like you found the answer to be Meh-ta

At least with Costco I can understand that since I think people shopping there are either picking up one or two smaller items (like from the pharmacy) or something large enough that no one would actually want to walk around the store with. Like a 10-pack box of soy mile that weighs 30 pounds.

Yeah, I noticed that WalMart has gotten rid of baskets entirely (or at least they have around where I live). Our local Kroger's affiliate did also, but they at least replaced them with the half-size shopping carts (which I like because I'm usually only shopping for myself).

Shit like this, or when I go into a place like Best Buy where I'm approached by every employee within a 20-foot radius of me asking if I need help, is the reason I hate shopping in-person.

If I need help, I'll find you and ask!

Such a wonderfully silly movie to start with!

Nice to see we're getting the obligatory "Apology Donation(tm)" on this one.

I'm glad to see the money go to a positive cause. I just hate that they're doing for PR reasons rather than, ya know, it's just a good gesture.

I know the US blu-ray features the uncut version. It's easily my favorite of the POTA movies (with the original and Escape in a tie for #2). The only disappointment is that there isn't enough Ricardo Montalban.

I binged it over the summer, only to be disappointed that I have to wait until January for new episodes.

The best thing about this documentary is that it inspired a con panel I saw where the panelists spent the entire time coming up with weird conspiracy theories about random pop culture stuff (movies, TV, etc).

It was definitely better than the movie was.
