Not a troubling sight at all.

If ever there was a more idiotic quote used to advertise a film, I don't know what it is.

Just found this receipt from November 6th 1992.

I'm the Indiana Jones of the retail world.

BBC giving it to us straight.

Noted film critic Roger Ebert panned Battle: LA in a lengthy review, calling the movie "noisy, violent, ugly and stupid", giving the film a mere half star rating.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon.

Day Ten – Hellraiser: Judgment – 2018.

The last film in the Hellraiser series before some prick in rimless glasses who wants a new yacht to take prostitutes to, commissions another one.

I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if anyone in the entire world has ever seen this.

For the very first time in my life, I applauded at the end of a film today. Never really understood why people do it, until today.

Thanks, as ever to @princecharlescinema.com for screening this long-lost seventies masterpiece.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon.

Day Nine – Hellraiser: Revelations – 2011.

Two idiots get killed in Mexico whilst their families employ a standard of acting one might expect to see in an advert for indigestion pills; to tell us how much they miss them.

And Clive Barker lost his patience.

Saw this yesterday. Extraordinary.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon.

Day Eight – Hellraiser: Hellworld – 2005.

Filmed at the same time as Hellraiser: Deader. This one is set in an “online world” so maybe there’s a Hellraiser website and everyone downloads themselves on it whilst nailface yells.

Or some shit. Who the fuck cares?

Currently lining this up as a trilogy for when the Hellraiser Marathon finally ends.

The Hellraiser Ten Day Marathon

Day Seven – Hellraiser: Deader – 2005.

Deader? Really? Are you fucking serious? This one was made in Romania to “keep costs down” but some prick still managed to spend $4 million on people running around and the pin man yelling about flesh. No one cares anymore.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon

Day Six – Hellraiser: Hellseeker – 2002.

I couldn’t find this one either.

The woman from the first one is still in the asylum and then all the shit starts happening again so she has to escape and there’s some new monsters but it’s mainly just pin man shouting.

Brilliant show from Jim Ghedi at The Grace in Islington last night.

Last stop of the tour in Birmingham tonight.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon

Day Five – Hellraiser: Inferno – 2000.

I couldn’t find this one for free anywhere, so I’ll just make something up.

A moron finds that little box and then runs around a tiny soundstage whilst that man with the pins in his face laughs in his weird voice.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon

Day Four – Hellraiser: Bloodline – 1996.

One of the least coherent films I can ever remember watching. Set variously in 18th century France, 1990s New York and a space station in 2127. Astonishing to consider that actual human adults had anything to do with this.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon

Day Three – Hellraiser lll: Hell on Earth – 1992.

A thoroughly dislikable film saved by an extraordinary sequence in a nightclub and some new Cenobites including one with a television camera in his face that fires rockets and one with a blowtorch mouth.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon

Day Two – Hellbound: Hellraiser ll – 1988.

A perfectly serviceable sequel which retains many of the original actors. It relocates the majority of the action to an insane asylum, and an M.C. Escher inspired vision of hell.

The Hellraiser Ten-Day Marathon
My attempt to watch all ten Hellraiser films in succession.

Day One - Hellraiser - 1987

A gold-plated classic of modern horror with the Cenobites used very sparingly and to genuinely horrifying effect.

Interestingly, it had its premiere @princecharlescinema.com

The Last Screenwriter is one of the first films written using artificial intelligence and concerns a human screenwriter who encounters an AI scriptwriting system and finds that it matches his skills.

Would you pay to see that?
