Psst, 3am people, could I get a bit of pricing help here? Things are so up in the air but I'd still like to do donation sketches if I can, but I'm stuck on pricing in general- what would you aim for here? (Is $15 per sketch headshot fair? What about for flat color like the second?) #art #furryart

She's Very thorough and makes it sound harder than it is though, so here's an abridged recipe to make it easier. (She also does a clarified butter buttercream, and I just did a regular buttercream because it's easier and faster!)
INGREDIENTS - 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened - 1/2 cup sugar (I used a bit under, about 80% of that) - 3 tbsp golden syrup (or maple syrup/honey) - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 1/8 tsp salt (I used about 1/4 tsp) - black food coloring (optional) - 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour (I used GF 1:1 King Arthurs) - 1/3 cup + 1tbsp cocoa powder Buttercream Frosting (alternative recipe) - 1/2 cup butter, softened - 3/4 tsp vanilla extract - 1 pinch salt (more to taste- I used 1/8 - 1/4 tsp?) - 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar - food coloring! (optional) Method 1. Combine softened butter, sugar, golden syrup, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl, and beat until light and fluffy. If you're using regular cocoa powder, adding some black gel food coloring here will make them darker! 2. Add flour and cocoa powder (can be sieved if you're fancy) and mix on low speed (or by hand) into a thick dough, then knead by hand in the bowl and form a smooth, flat disc. 3. Place between 2 sheets of paper (I used wax) with some powdered sugar if needed to prevent sticking, and roll dough out to about 1/6-1/5" thickness. 4. Dust cookie cutter in powdered sugar and cut out cookies! Then, push your scraps into a ball and roll it out again, repeat til you've used it all. 5. Add sprinkles for bat eyes (or add after baking)- just make sure your sprinkles don't bleed! Chill in fridge for 1 hour, or 25 minutes freezer. 6. Preheat oven to 350F (or 180c/160c fan-forced) and line baking trays with baking paper, put cookies on. 7. Bake 10-15 minutes. They will still be soft, but at 8-9 minute mark check to see if they move when gently nudged with a spatula- if they stick or crack, bake a couple more minutes and check again. 8. When done, leave on tray for a few minutes to set, then transfer to a cooling rack with paper to cool completely before frosting. Make buttercream! 1. Beat softened butter, vanilla extract, salt, and powdered sugar together into a bowl. Add food coloring if you want it fun colors! 2. Gently spread on the back of one cookie when cooled, and place another cookie on top (You can gently scrape the excess off with a knife or your finger to make them cleaner looking.) 3. Put them back in the fridge afterwards for 30min to set the frosting!

Artemis one minute after I gave her Halloween Toys she had been very excited for, realizing she liked the packaging better
