the nytimes had an article claiming that there was a framework for a deal of giving the US sovereignty of parts of Greenland.
This has already been refuted both by members of Greenlands Parliment and DK's Defense and Prime Minster. Greenland is doing a press release later today.

Neither political theater nor defending interference in the sovereign affairs of other countries will do anything but help build that foul reputation. The US and its people will be remembered not for the words said during these times but their actions and the conflicts they help fuel.
