"We need an AI feature" isn't a product requirement.

It's a senior executive who read a headline and a PM who now has to add LLMs to a perfectly functional solution.

Start with the problem. AI might not be the answer.

“A brain that doesn’t feed itself eats itself." - Gore Vidal

While monthly GenAI usage is surging, daily active use is lagging significantly (<10%).

We are building products that people are curious to try, but haven't yet found essential enough to open every morning.

What would your team do if resources were unlimited?

AI agents are turning that question into reality. No more pruning ideas before they start.

No more "too expensive to try"

The biggest opportunities aren't in replacing humans, they're in doing the work we never attempted

The Bottleneck Shifts:

In the past, startup speed was limited by how fast founders could type code or documents.

Now, founders manage and orchestrate work done by AI agents; the only limit is how quickly they can review, edit, and deploy what AI creates.
Founders Who Understand This AI Shift Will Own the Next Decade...
Founders who understand what AI agents unlock will lead the next decade of startups. In this episode of Office Hours, Aaron Levie, CEO of Box, explains why we’re entering a radically different startup era, one where small teams armed with AI agents can outperform 100+ person companies. He breaks d

Hank Zeller on creativity:

“When you realize that you just came up with an idea that betters anything that has been done, well, your hair stands up on end, you feel an incredible sense of awe; it’s almost as if you heard a whisper from God.”

Stop leading with data.

Start with VPSA

❌ Without VPSA: "PMs should do user research. It improves retention by 30%."
✅ With VPSA:

Value: We want to build products that users love
Problem: We're building blind without validation
Solution: Let's do user research
Action: ...

The most powerful product features are invisible until they break.

Think autosave, spam filtering, offline sync, predictive loading.

As a PM, if users don't notice your work, you probably nailed it.

A model-forward application is one where the model is "wrapped into the application," meaning it is deeply integrated into the system

The goal of the model-forward approach is to teach the model how to natively understand the application's tools and business logic.
