I feel like the response to the perception of 'virtue signalling' shouldn't be to double down on 'malice acting' in the form of budget cuts, rushed policy and legislation changes, and the Speaker's infinite cuntitude with Parliamentary rules -- all removing the explicit goal of fairness to Māori.

But the fashion is totally a vibe. Sunglasses and hair styles ... I'd have told my kids that I looked like this in the 90s but they saw the photos. We who did real computer shit in the early-to-mid 90s never looked like this.

This data-as-architecture stuff is full @greatdismal.bsky.social mid-90s cyberpunk blowout. It was an amazing prose device for conveying action and activity in "cyberspace" but I don't think it survived the translation to the screen.
