My kids make me proud. My religion is #LFC. I enjoy having some lively banter. Only care about the quality of people who follow. #Liberal leftie with a particular dislike for anything Tory. No DMs unless I know you! #GTTO. #FBPE 🇮🇪🇪🇺 #JFT97. #YNWA. #Redsky
We need to replace Konate in January. If Guehi doesn't want to come, go after someone else. Sadly, I think Konate's head is gone now and best for both parties if he moves on.

We have neen linked with a lot of No.6's in recent months. If we had a plan, it was flawed as we did not land Guehi or another CB and went with Konate, who has been very poor.
Leoni replaced Quanseh. Meanwhile Matip has still not been replaced.

Shame... although the season before last he played very regularly when Trent and then Robbo were injured for most of the season and was bery good. Hopefully Bradley can stay fit now 🙏!

They are desperate to cover these mistakes, hence the need to force Mo out the door (for much needed funds). I know it shouts out "conspiracy" but there's been a lot of rumours about Mo to Saudi resurfacing less than 6 months after Mo signed his shiny new contract! It all seems very off to me!

I think the big problem is there is NO PLAN!
I hear the phrase LFC will make signings "that present a good opportunity".
This seems more financially incentivised rather than what the squad needs, and is why I believe we've ended up in this mess. We failed to sign a CB and a deep lying No.6. No Plan!

I agree. Much better balance eith Jo Gomez at RB. Surely he'll continue to play him there as long as he's fit, at least in the League! Him playing yhere enables Kerkez to get forward too.

We haven't signed Salah on a new 2 year deal on the wages he's on to phase him out before the end of that 2 year period. We will need to plan for his successor, but if he's fit, he'll be under the same pressure to deliver.

We all need to start a campaign to stop watching the BBC and demand changes at the very top. They are a publicly funded corporation, and they should remain completed independent with out any political bias. They clearly are not apolitical and need to be reminded where the power lies.

Only kidding... I was referring to the other place. I'm glad you're still on here!
October 9, 2025 at 10:37 AM
Where did you disappear too?
October 9, 2025 at 10:35 AM
That would be the best outcome for the club. I'm not sure the player will reintegrate easily. Rumours that some players have turned against him along with a fair lump of the support. We'll see what happens between now and the 1st of September!
August 21, 2025 at 12:48 PM
PIF doesn't seem to be running the club like that... maybe this might change that, but neither does it help PSR. He's on about £140k per week. Plus, do they need to bring in another No.9 anyway? Nothing much out there, so it will cost unless they sign someone as cover?
August 21, 2025 at 8:17 AM
Someone said they're like The Hotel California... you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
But seriously, it's a mess. Love them or loathe them agents have a lot of say with players, and they talk. It won't be good for Newcastle when trying to sign players in the future, Will.
August 21, 2025 at 8:12 AM
All we know is that he wants out, and you're stuck with a player who, up to now, refuses to train or play and has stated publicly he won't play for the club again.
August 21, 2025 at 7:52 AM
You need to have this conversation with Amanda Stavely and Paul Michell. They are the ones who apparently made the promise and then reneged on the promise.
Neither you nor I know the ins and outs of it.
August 21, 2025 at 7:51 AM
LFC have stated publicly that they remain interested in a sale but will only come back to the table if encouraged to do so by NUFC.
August 21, 2025 at 7:45 AM
That's the attitude that has led your club to where it is, Marty. You can't make promises to your star player, renege on those promises, and expect him to just smile and be happy.
Good day.
August 21, 2025 at 7:42 AM
Yes... I suppose it is slightly different because NUFC wants to keep him, but therein is the problem you face... he doesn't want to stay and had told the club this some time ago.
August 21, 2025 at 7:39 AM
As Isak said in his statement (whether you believe it or not), promises have been broken, and the trust is gone. If that's how he feels, of course, he won't sign a new contract.
Do you believe the clubs outright refusal to consider a sale is the best way to handle it. Howe seems to want him gone.
August 21, 2025 at 7:33 AM
As is your right not to sell, but you're stuck with a player who, for whatever reason, has stated he does not want to play for the club again. Who is refusing to reintegrate and is very unpopullar with your fanbase. His valuation will continue to diminish, and you're unable to replace him.
August 21, 2025 at 7:27 AM
It's literally just happened to us with Diaz. We recognised that he was not going to be happy because he believed he should've been on a higher salary, whereas we didn't want to offer new terms, so we agreed to sell him. You might argue it's not the same, but the principles are similar.
August 21, 2025 at 7:17 AM
Mo is off for Afcon, too. This doesn't seem like good planning to me. Cheisa will be cover for Mo. There will be no cover for Ekitike. We need two more signings. Fofana is sitting their and wants to join?
August 20, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Reports that Konate is back in talks and is very close to signing a new deal.
August 9, 2025 at 10:30 PM
It's an opening bid. It's called "negotiation."
An embarrassing offer would be offering £25m when the selling club values a player at £45m to £50m.
